Fall French Market

The annual Lycée French Market takes place before the holiday season starts each year where in the Lycée Campus, for the whole weekend, transforms into a bustling French Market. It becomes a Parisian Marché where decorative arts, woof works, home decors, jewelries and accessories, fine wares and many more made by the local and French artisan around Chicago. Gourmet food are also sold around the area you can hardly choose what to try. This annual event runs for 3 days from Friday night until the entire weekend.

As it opens on a Friday evening, it starts with a shopping galore featuring some famous French food and beverages and live entertainment to serenade the night. It is truly an event worth not missing! 

3 Days of Shopping 

Once you step into the doors of the Lycée Campus, it will immediately not feel like you’re in Chicago anymore. You’ll be fascinated by the French feels all around the area from the music serenading the whole grounds to sounds of French being animatedly spoken by the visitors, it feels like you’ve been transported away from Chicago.

The area will be surrounded also with lots of shops wherein unique items made by local vendors and French artisans can be bought. Make sure to practice how to haggle for you to get the items you want at a very wise price.

 Shopping with Leisure

Shopping with your kids can sometimes be a little handy. If you want to shop with leisure, you can actually drop off your children at the Children’s Pavilion. It is a supervised children’s place where they can enjoy arts and crafts, free play, magic shows and other kid’s activities while you are out to have your own fun! That way, your kids can enjoy their kind of fun and so can you! 

Food, Drinks and Music

Goers can actually have a chance to learn how to make different dishes from some of Chicago’s most renowned chefs as they lead some food demonstration for the people. And of course, it’s free taste after.

At night you can take a seat at some of the bistros in the area and enjoy an array of French sandwiches, crepes and drinks while being treated to live French music. Now, prepare yourself to experience a true French Market- right here in Chicago.
